Plantar Fasciitis
Heel pain deserves a clear plan.
Plantar fasciitis is one possible cause of heel pain, often noticeable with the first steps after rest. Heel pain can have other causes. Share any diagnosis you already have and seek medical assessment for unexplained or worsening pain.
Care may include appropriate footwear, load management and a rehabilitation plan. Low-level laser may be considered as an addition for selected patients; it does not replace identifying the cause or other recommended care.
Help us plan your visit
Tell us where the problem is, when it started, what makes it better or worse, and what you have already tried. Bring your medication list and share allergies, diabetes, circulation concerns, reduced feeling, wounds and any previous diagnosis.
Nurses assess within their scope. New or unexplained pain, an injury or a concern requiring a medical diagnosis may need your GP, nurse practitioner or another appropriate clinician before treatment. Call us if you are unsure. Sudden severe symptoms, spreading redness, a new wound or a hot, swollen foot need prompt medical advice.
