Elim Express Heel is a focused heel-care option for suitable clients with dry, hard skin. We offer a 30-minute appointment, or you can ask about adding it to an advanced foot-care visit. Your nurse assesses your feet before deciding whether this treatment is appropriate.
What does Elim MediHeel do?
The MediHeel system uses a professional alkaline softening solution to help loosen hard, dead skin on the heels so it can be removed. The manufacturer’s process includes a neutralizing step. This is a chemical treatment, so careful selection and correct use matter.
The manufacturer’s ingredient sheet identifies sodium hydroxide as the alkaline ingredient in the Callus Tonic. It is not a baking-soda treatment. Results vary with the amount of hard skin and the underlying causes.

Tell us before treatment
Let your nurse know about diabetes, reduced sensation, circulation problems, allergies, skin conditions, or previous reactions to foot products. Mention any open, bleeding or painful cracks, wounds or signs of infection. The nurse may recommend a different approach or further assessment.
Being blade-free does not make a chemical treatment risk-free. Do not use a heel-softening product to self-treat an open wound or delay assessment of a painful or changing foot.
